Partners and Coordination



History

Starting 1997 "The Part of Resistance and their Importance for the European Unification", Carl Schurz Schule (Frankfort), Lycee Nord Bassin (Andernos Les Bains) and Haydn-Real-Gymnasium (Vienna) are still working together in projects. The follow up (2000 - 2003) "From the Europe of foe images to the Europe of Visions" involved with Nitra and Frosinone new partners.


Preface

The Haydn-Real-Gymnasium faces the essential problem of integration due to the fact that German is not the mother tongue for a high number of pupils. Intending to start a school-developing-project, we initiated the school-partnership-project " Setting Europe in Motion - Migration between Myth and Reality" for the term 2003/04 as a basis. The Carl Schurz Schule in Frankfort, the Liceo Classico Statale Mario Cutelli in Catania and the Lycée Nord Bassin Andernos could be won over to participate. The Gymnazium Golianova in Nitra, which did not receive the approval, took part as a silent partner. The coordination was taken on by the Haydn-Real-Gymnasium in Vienna.

Since autumn 2004 the partner-schools have been working on "Setting Europe in Motion - Integration as a School Development Project" for another 3 years, extended by the Sir Michaelangelo Refalo Centre for Further Studies, Gozo and the Bolyai János Gyarkoló Iskola és Gymnázium.

For 2005/06 the Sir Michaelangelo Refalo Centre for Further Studies, Gozo and the Bolyai János Gyarkoló Iskola és Gymnázium did not receive the approval, but Gozo will take part as a silent partner.

For 2006/07 the  coordination changes to the Carl Schurz Schule in Frankfort.
